Apple’s Exciting Hardware Launches for Early 2024

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is planning some big hardware drops for early 2024. In the Power On newsletter, Gurman predicts that Apple will unveil the next generation of iPad Pro and iPad Air in March, along with the highly anticipated M3-powered MacBook Air. Let’s dive deeper into what these new releases have in store for us.

Next-Generation iPad Pro and iPad Air

Apple aims to make the decision-making process easier for consumers by providing clearer distinctions between the various iPad models. The iPad Pro is set to receive Apple’s new M3 chip and will boast an OLED display. It will be available in two sizes: 11 inches and 13 inches. Additionally, Apple plans to release a new Magic Keyboard specifically designed for the iPad Pro.

On the other hand, the iPad Air will come in a 10.9-inch version and introduce a new 12.9-inch option. It will be equipped with the M2 chip, offering improved performance and efficiency. These changes aim to highlight the differences between the high-end, midrange, and standard iPads, making it easier for consumers to choose the device that best suits their needs.

The All-New M3 MacBook Air

Apple’s M3 MacBook Air is expected to hit the market in March, available in the usual 13- and 15-inch configurations. This new iteration will likely replace the 2020 M1 MacBook Air. Apple enthusiasts can look forward to enhanced performance and capabilities with the M3 chip, ensuring a smooth and efficient user experience.

Mac Studio and Mac Pro: Worth the Wait

While the M3 chip will revolutionize the MacBook Air and iPad lineup, Apple fans longing for the Mac Studio and Mac Pro will have to exercise a little more patience. Gurman suggests that these models won’t be ready for release until at least the end of 2024, possibly even slipping into 2025. However, the wait is expected to be worthwhile, as the Mac Studio and Mac Pro will also receive the M3 upgrade, offering unparalleled power and performance.
